Launch event to mark new BME treatment service
Up one levelA launch event will be held on Friday 31 August 2007 to mark the opening of a new service providing drug treatment advice and support to black and minority ethnic communities.
KIKIT will be celebrating the opening of it's new premises on Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham from 11am - 2pm. Anyone is welcome to attend to find out more about the services available.
KIKIT offer culturally senstive information and advice to drug users and anyone concerned about someone else's drug problem. They are also able to provide information and advice in a variety of community languages.
The range of services available includes:
fast track referral into structured treatment and for subsitute prescribing services;
a drop in facility for drug users, ex-users, and those in recovery;
drug testing;
self support groups for users and ex-users;
outreach and home support;
signposting to education, training and employment; and
access to therapies.
